Why We Chose GOTS-Certified Cotton

We have spent 21 years learning what belongs against skin that's only just met the world, and that starts long before a garment reaches our knitting floor.
GOTS — the Global Organic Textile Standard — certifies the entire chain: organically grown cotton, restricted and non-toxic dyes, no AZO compounds, and fair working conditions at every stage of processing. It is independently audited, not self-declared.
Paired with OEKO-TEX Standard 100 testing on every finished batch, it means we can say with certainty that nothing in the fabric — dye, finish, or fibre — is harmful to skin that is still learning to regulate itself.
It also happens to be the more durable choice. Organic cotton grown without synthetic pesticides tends to produce a longer, stronger fibre, which is part of why our knits are built to survive one child and get handed down to the next.
This is the same certified cotton and the same German circular knitting machines we have used since 2013 — now cut smaller, for the people who need it softest.
