Our Story
We've spent 21 years learning what belongs against skin that's only just met the world.
Founded 2013
Everything we've learned, now cut for the smallest people
AV Little is the children's line from AV Fashion, a family-run knitwear manufacturer in Tirupur, India, GOTS and OEKO-TEX certified, knitting on German machinery since 2013 — now cut for the people who need it softest.
AV Fashion began in 2013 with a husband-and-wife team and a simple conviction: that everyday knitwear deserved the same attention most brands reserve for occasion wear. M Anandhan, a gold medallist in knitting technology with over two decades in the craft, set out to build something first-generation and unmistakably his own, learning stitch by stitch exactly what a fabric needs before it can be trusted against skin.
That's the part that matters most in a newborn's first weeks: no rough seams, no rogue fibres, nothing that shifts or scratches after a wash. Two decades of getting cotton right for grown-ups turned out to be the best possible preparation for getting it right for someone who can't yet tell you what's bothering them.
How We Make It
Craftsmanship, in the details their skin feels first

Precision, made for skin that notices everything
Every yard of fabric passes through knitting machines from Mayer & Cie and Terrot — German-engineered for a level of evenness most machines can't match. For an adult, that means a t-shirt that drapes well. For a newborn, it means no uneven yarn, no rough patches, and no loose thread that catches on skin that's still learning what touch feels like.

Finished the way a family would finish it
Nothing ships without being looked at, felt, and checked by hand — by someone who would happily put it on their own child. Before a piece ever reaches yours, it's already passed the only test that matters to us: would we dress ours in it. It's a slower way to work, but it's the only way we'd trust a garment against skin that fragile.

Fibre first, always
We build from the yarn up — GOTS-certified organic cotton, chosen because it's gentle enough for skin that's only just met the world and free of the residues and treatments that can irritate it. It's a decision made at the very start of every collection, and for baby and kids' wear, it's the one that matters most.
Sustainability & Ethics
Made with respect — for people, and for what's next
Ethical manufacturing isn't a marketing line for us — it's the standard we hold ourselves to every day. Fair wages, safe working conditions, and a genuinely lighter footprint on the environment aren't optional extras; they're built into how every garment gets made, from the first yarn to the final stitch — because the same fabric that's kind to the planet is usually the fabric that's kindest to a child's skin.
